Cinnamon Sugar and Cream Cheese Egg Sandwich

I have said before that I do not have much of a sweet tooth. I don’t particularly like cinnamon raisin flavored anything. But I really love this sandwich. It’s a perfect combination of sweet and smoky, creamy and toasted. If you have a bit of a sweet hankering in the morning, whip this puppy up and you might even skip the sugar in your coffee. The secret is this…

a sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar on top of your warm scrambled eggs.

This is also pretty key in the total deliciousness.

Okay, ya know what? They’re all important. Which is kind of why picking a name for this was so hard. I felt like unless I included all of the ingredients you wouldn’t realize how good it could be. Right now I still think the turkey needs to be in the name. Maybe I’ll just come up with a Big Mac-type jingle that would be required to sing whenever you mention this sandwich. If you have a better name, let me know.

Cinnamon Sugar and Cream Cheese Egg Sandwich
Ingredients:
Scrambled Eggs
Smoked Turkey
Butter
Cream Cheese
Cinnamon and Sugar
Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin

Directions:
Make your scrambled eggs. I won’t be reviewing that today. Toast your english muffin. (Keep in mind, using a cinnamon raisin english muffin as opposed to a regular english muffin, and the cinnamon and sugar makes this sandwich so good. If you opt out on those two, it will still be delicious but it will not be the same. Just saying.)

Spread butter on one side of the english muffin. Spread cream cheese on the other. In the same pan that you made your scrambled eggs, throw in some butter and a few slices of the smoked turkey. Flip over when it starts to sizzle. Remove from heat and place on one side of the muffin. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top of your english muffin.

Place the english muffin on the smoked turkey. Place the other side of the english muffin on the rest of your pieces and eat. Make sure it’s still warm, so move quickly. Oh my goodness it’s so good.

I just got home from dog sitting and saw this on Facebook. My mouth is watering. I’m going to bed so I can get up soon and make this sandwich. I love, love, love savory sandwiches on raisin bread. That little bit of sweetness is so pleasurable on the tongue. I’ve never done cinnamon sugar on my scrambled eggs but will let you know how I like it.
