White Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter Grilled Cheese
I made this sandwich months ago and am just now getting it posted. I procrastinated because after the first month went by I’ve forgotten how I made the peanut butter and I did not write it down. Learn from my mistakes. If some culinary creation of your own, renders you unconscious due to its deliciousness, well, you should probably record it somewhere.
I saw this relatively similar peanut butter being made on the cooking channel. Of course. I think it was The Best Thing I Ever Ate, or whatever that show is called. It comes from a company called Spread. They have everything from a restaurant, to a catering service as well as products like this peanut butter. “Couture Seasonal Selections” is what they are called, so that will just give you an idea of what we’re dealing with here. Well, actually that doesn’t even make sense since this has nothing to do with clothing, but maybe they expect us to wear the peanut butter around it tastes so good? Thoughts? Either way, the ideas alone taste phenomenal since I made this based on what they made on the show and didn’t actually buy it from them. They are the experts so I would assume it’s even more delicious if you do.
White Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter
Ingredients:
Pretzels
Peanuts
White Chocolate
Vanilla in some form or fashion (I used White Chocolate that was already infused with Vanilla from Ghiradelli so I kind of cheated. I recommend you do this.)
Sea Salt (or other salt that people actually have in their cupboards)
Oil (I think I used canola, heart healthy and no strong flavor)
Directions:
Dump some peanuts into a food processor. Add oil until you get a peanut buttery substance but give it time between oil additions since it will get smoother as you blend it. Once you have your base down, add pretzels, white chocolate, vanilla bean, and salt. Then give it a taste.
I prefer chunky peanut butter so I then added a few more peanuts, chocolate chunks and pretzels and pulsed it just a few times. Try to keep yourself from eating all of it before you have a chance to try it in a grilled cheese.
I can’t take credit for this sandwich. Tyler Florence took the peanut butter from the same episode and made this and he is my favorite person because of it.
White Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
White Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter
Brie Cheese
Ciabatta Bread
Butter
Directions:
Slice your bread. Smear butter on the outside of each piece. Place the peanut butter and slices of brie in between the two buttered pieces of bread, butter on the outside.
You can make an old fashioned grilled cheese in a pan and flip mid-way. Heat your skillet on medium-high heat and make sure it is hot before you place your sandwich. Flip it when it is golden brown. Remove when cheese is melted.
Or you can heat up a panini press and place it in there for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
This is not my first sweet grilled cheese using brie. I don’t think I need to express the insane flavor you are looking at.
